What the service is

The Renters' Rights Act 2025 creates a database of private rented properties in England. The government calls the service Register your rental property and opens it region by region, starting with the West Midlands on 15 December 2026.

What you upload

The fee

The fee is £65 a year for each property, renewed every year. It is pro-rated during the rollout so landlords who register early are not disadvantaged.
