Terms of service
Last updated 10 October 2026
The terms for using Letward. Please read them with your duties as a landlord in mind.
Who provides Letward
Letward is provided by Will Roxby, trading as Letward (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@letward.co.uk.
These terms apply when you use Letward (“you”). By signing in you agree to them.
What Letward does
Letward tells landlords in England when the government's Register your rental property service opens in their region and keeps the dates of the records a landlord has to hold. It covers England only.
What it is not
- It is not legal advice. Pages state what the linked government pages say. Check those pages and take advice where you need it.
- It is not the register. It does not file anything for you and is not connected to the government's service.
- It makes no legal documents. It links to the official forms on GOV.UK and never says a document or notice is in order.
You stay responsible for meeting your duties as a landlord. Government dates and rules can change; we update the pages when they do and each page shows when its sources were last checked.
Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that mailbox secure, as anyone who can read it can sign in. Make sure the details you enter are right and up to date.
Plans and prices
The register checker is free. The paid landlord kit is not on sale yet. The prices we plan are on the pricing page.
Before the kit goes on sale we will add to these terms how payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds work.
Acceptable use
When you use Letward you agree not to:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the service
- copy, resell or scrape the service or the register checker
- enter personal data about other people that you have no right to hold
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. We will tell you why by email.
Availability
We aim to keep Letward running at all times. We provide it on a best effort basis. The register checker depends on postcodes.io and may sometimes be unavailable. When it is, every region's dates are still shown on the page.
Our liability
We are not liable for decisions you make as a landlord or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud. If you use Letward as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Personal data
Our Privacy notice explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Its courts deal with any dispute.
